Phillip A. Begley
Phil is the founder and Managing Principal of Riverstone Organizational Advisors, Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Control Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy and an MBA from The Citadel.
After graduation for Annapolis, Phil went to sea and served in a variety of positions. From 1983-85 Phil taught leadership and management at The Citadel in Charleston, SC. As a reserve officer Phil served as both the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of multiple reserve units. He retired as a Commander.
After leaving active duty, Phil served as a manufacturing manager for Michelin Tire Corporation. He helped pioneer the use of manufacturing cells and teams. As the Director of Training and Development for a division of Rockwell Automation, he led the change effort that earned the annual quality award of the Power Transmission Industry. He was instrumental in helping General Shale Brick win the prestigious Tennessee Governor’s Quality Award in 1997. For six years starting in 1999, Phil was a partner and the Vice President of Organizational Performance at Vantage Point, a nationally known strategic consulting firm. Among the dozens of organizations where he has taught leadership are Michelin Tire Corporation, BMW, Volvo Construction, American Express, Clemson University, Rockwell Automation, ASCO and Credit Unions of North America.
Lisa C. Begley
Director of Assessment Services
Lisa serves as the Director of Assessment Services. She holds a B.A. in business from Lander University. She has an extensive background in customer service and inside sales, where she has served as a group leader, manager, and trainer.
In her role, Lisa consults with clients to identify appropriate applications of assessment tools to help organizations and individuals better understand themselves. Additionally, as a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA) she analyzes the results of assessments and makes observations and recommendations for ROA’s clients. She is quick to point out that with the use of well designed, validated assessment tools organizations can better put the “right people on the bus in the right seats” as well as identify development and growth areas so they can become even more valuable to their employer.
